J.J. Murphy |@jjmurphymusic

Guitarist JJ Murphy, bassist Wyatt Walker Wear, and drummer Gabriel Mangione come together as a dynamic trio rooted in improvisation, groove, and melodic storytelling. The three explore original material that moves fluidly between jazz, roots, and modern instrumental music — shifting from spacious, textured interplay to driving, rhythmic energy. Their sound is intimate yet exploratory, highlighting the chemistry that’s formed from years of playing together across Denver’s creative music scene.

Sharing the bill is Denver-based vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Halle Tomlinson, whose warm, expressive sound blends soul, R&B, jazz, and contemporary influences. Halle first earned national attention on NBC’s The Voice (Season 11), where her interpretation of “New York State of Mind” earned a two-chair turn and a spot on Team Alicia Keys. Since then, she has continued to grow her career as a songwriter and performer, releasing deeply emotive music that showcases her unique blend of classic soul and modern artistry.

Together, this split bill brings two distinct yet complementary worlds to the stage — the trio’s immersive, improvisational instrumental landscapes paired with Halle’s rich, soulful vocal presence — making for a warm, dynamic, and genre-spanning night of music.
