Featured presenters from Mexico and the US illuminate our unique binational insights that resonate with fans through humor & intelligence and tackle timeless themes from social commentary to daily life–focused on bringing people together.
Experience the creative vision artistry, and humor of iconic cartoonists Jis y Trino. They created the characters El Santos, el Peyote Asesino, amongst others, always humor on the reality of society in contemporary Mexico. The Jis y Trino’s Big Cartoon Jam programs are presented in partnership with the Consulado General de México en San Diego.
Early Presentation 4:00 - 6:00 PM ($10.00)
Jis & Trino Keynote Presentation on new works (4-5 PM)
Mauricio Alvarado presents the restoration process of vintage Betty Boop cartoons by Fleisher Cartoons (5-6 PM)
Late Presentation 6:30 - 8:30 PM ($10.00)
Jis & Trino Jamming session. Join as comic legends, Jis y Trino, draw in person with their creations projected onto the big screen. Watch their cartoons come to life in front of your eyes! Get some gift cartoons! Attendees will have a chance to win an original drawing. (6:30 - 7:30 PM)
La Chora Interminable - Talk Show with guest cartoonists. Join a talk show-style program hosted by Jis y Trino, featuring surprise guest cartoonists. (7:30 to 8:30 PM)
