Trombonist, singer, composer, recording artist, dancer and producer, Jimmy Bosch, is considered one of the most important exponents and a true ambassador of the passionate, expressive New York style Afro Caribbean music known as “Salsa Dura” or Hard Salsa. Loved and respected by Salseros the world over – from, Poland to Morrocco to the Americas, Japan and Asia, Russia and Europe – he is highly regarded for his ability to entertain audiences and keep the dancers dancing. A disciple of the Eddie Palmieri legacy, Bosch has worked alongside Palmieri, Ruben Blades, Ray Barretto, Manny Oquendo y Libre, Machito, FANIA Allstars, and many more over his 45-year career, and he has more than 150 Salsa and/or Latin Jazz recordings to his name, including 11 Grammy award winning CD productions on which he is a featured artist. A composer who “writes from the heart,” he continues to move audiences with his vocal abilities, explosive trombone sound and his natural sense of swing. The Jimmy Bosch Salsa Masters draw musical strength from the traditional formula of driving percussion, danceable trombone, piano melodies, and echoing soneos, the vibrant call-and-response vocal improvisation of Salsa Duro.
