A unique opportunity to screen “Show me the Picture” in an exclusive venue after a specially-curated panel discussion on the life and legacy of Jim Marshall.

Jim Marshall created iconic images of rock 'n' roll stars, jazz greats, and civil rights leaders. He had the power to look into the soul of an individual and to capture the mood of an entire generation. His deluxe, career-spanning volume, Show me the Picture showcases hundreds of photographs: intimate portraits, heady crowd scenes, and haunting street shots evoking the sights and sounds of the 1960s and 1970s. Marked-up proof sheets offer insight into Marshall's process, while in-depth essays from his contemporaries tell a compelling story about this larger-than-life man. Nearly a decade after his death, Marshall's legacy is the subject of the documentary feature film, Show me the Picture. This gorgeous collection is a must-have book for devoted fans and newcomers alike, while the film of the same name is required viewing for anyone interested in interesting things and those that create them; both are a fitting tribute to a true legend.

Jim Marshall (February 3, 1936 – March 24, 2010) was an American photographer and photojournalist who photographed musicians of the 1960s and 1970s. Earning the trust of his subjects, he had extended access to his subjects both on and off-stage. Marshall, a Grammy award winner, was the official photographer for the Beatles' final concert in San Francisco's Candlestick Park, and was head-photographer at Woodstock.
