* Scents: small space, best to avoid using scented products

Jim Foster is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and guitarist best known as the frontman of Fosterchild, writing several Top Ten Canadian hits, including Let Me Down Easy and I Need Somebody Tonight. In 1986, he signed with RCA and released Powerlines, featuring X-Ray Eyes, which charted in the U.S. and won multiple West Coast Music Awards.
Beyond his own recordings, Jim has written for artists such as Doug and the Slugs, One Horse Blue, and Patricia Conroy, contributing to hits like Here We Go Again and Nobody’s Fault. He has also co-written with Murray McLauchlan and toured as a guitarist and mandolinist for One Horse Blue, The Cruzeros, and Jann Arden during the launch of Living Under June. His work earned him a nomination for the CCMA All-Star Band as a guitarist.
In addition to performing, Jim has produced several singer-songwriters, including Mark Browning, whose song Gasoline led to a West Coast Music Award nomination. Since 2009, he has released three albums through Quest Records, with his 2016 single Radio On receiving praise from Terry David Mulligan as “the song of the summer.”
After stepping away from city life for a quieter routine of local shows and recording sessions, Jim, like many musicians, saw live performances come to a halt in 2020. However, in 2021, he quietly released What?, an instrumental track that circulated among musicians and fans.
Jim continues to write, produce, and perform, bringing his signature blend of songwriting, storytelling, and musicianship to new projects.
