About this Event
The J.I. Case Company, located on 10th Avenue SW, was a corporate citizen of Calgary for many decades. Their trademark was a bald eagle, named Old Abe, perched on a globe. That trademark has been around for 160 years and represents one of the largest manufacturers of farm equipment in North America. Hear Bob Anderson from Pioneer Acres relate the history of this long time Alberta presence.
Presented in Partnership with Chinook Country Historical Society, a Chapter of the Historical Society of Alberta. CCHS is dedicated to promoting a greater understanding of Canadian and Alberta history for people of all ages. Organized in 1958 and incorporated in 1993, CCHS covers the region from Olds to Nanton and from the BC border to the Saskatchewan border.
