JHFS presents a BackYard Boogie 4 Justice 253 event

In 2023, The Just and Healthy Food System awarded $30,000 in Community Support Funding. The Community Support Fund is a low barrier grant that awards up to $1000 a year to community members, small businesses or grassroots groups that identify as Black, Brown, Indigenous, People of Color and/or low income. This grant has helped pay for events, equipment and even professional development.
On Saturday, August 31st from 12-4 PM we will celebreate all of those amazing recipients. We will have speakers, performances, delicious catered food and we will boogie to some good music. Please join us for this amazing and wonderful event to honor some truly spectacular members of our community.
Our event will take place at the Tacoma Urban Performing Arts Center located at 1105 MLK Jr Way, Tacoma 98405.
This event is free, kid friendly, will contain good vibes and more!
