Prodyut Mukherjee, Grammy Jury and GIMA Award Winner, on Sat, 8th March 2025 at Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Ramkote Road, Hyd. About ANUP JALOTA :GHAZAL & BHAJAN SAMRAT Anup Jalota is a renowned INTERNATIONAL Artist, best known for his performances in the Indian musical form, the Bhajan and the Urdu form of poetry: ghazal. He is popularly known as the Bhajan Samraat (Emperor of Bhajans) and also Ghazal Samrat. Early life Anup Jalota was born in Nainital, Uttarakhand to Purushottam Das Jalota, a renowned exponent of bhajan and hails from the Sham Chowrasi Gharana of Punjab. His name is synonymous with Bhajan and he has recorded many popular bhajans which are played during the festivals.
