Hello Nature Lovers!First of all, the Jewish Hiking Group is a peer engagement group for Jewish adults, 21-45 years old in San Diego County.
If you plan on joining us for the yummy lunch, DON'T bring a dog because we will be eating at an indoor restaurant.
This trail takes hikers in and out of oak tree forests and green chaparral areas with gorgeous views of Lake Hodges. Last time we were here, we saw two coyotes across a field, many acorn woodpeckers, and much more!
After a 3 mile hike, we'll get lunch at a hidden Mexican food restaurant, right off the trail. Once we have filled our tummies to a happy level, we will jump back onto the trail for a one mile stroll, back to the cars. This is a great trip for individuals of all skill levels, everyone from seasoned hikers to nature newbies!
The Hike:
Distance: About 4 miles
Difficulty: Easy/Moderate
Time: 4 hours (hike and lunch)
Be sure to bring:
At LEAST one liter of water
Good sport shoes
Hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen
Money for food
