All ticket proceeds will go to the Maine Asian-American Community Center and KJFS (Klahr Jewish Family Services), which administers diapers to Mainers in need and has helped assist hundreds of refugees with social services in Maine.
The Maine Jewish-Asian Friendship Dinner will be a celebration of Jewish culture, Asian culture, and everything our communities have in common!
Over delicious food from some of the area’s best Asian restaurants, we will break bread and hear each other’s stories. The event will feature a performance from Khmer Maine Dance Youth Group, presentations such as “Jewish history in Tokyo” and “The Jewish love of Chinese food,” and a dual commemoration of both the Holocaust and Cambodian Genocide.
Hosted by the Maine Asian-American Community Center and the Jewish Community Alliance, with co-sponsors including Khmer Maine and the Maine Jewish Museum, we look forward to seeing you at this exciting event!
