Class Experience
Learn the basics of creating earrings and necklaces. (make both/one or the other) understand symmetry and pattern as well as how to use jewelry pliers/tools and wire to achieve desired shapes
Learn how to shape and coil wire with beads to create earrings, learn how to plan and count beads for symmetry in stringing necklaces.
You will need 15-20 beads of your own that vary in shape and size. If you have beads of your own, bring those! If you do not already have your own materials, source them from a bead or craft store like the local Bathing Beauties Beads, or Michael’s and Joann’s. Bathing Beauties is a great place to go to choose individual beads, which allows you the option of more variety!
If you are interested in creating necklaces using chains, you will be required to bring in your own chain for that. We will provide silver fastenings that can be used for the necklaces.
Keep in mind that there will be a variety of ‘seed’ beads provided to compliment your larger beads in the creation of your earrings &/or necklaces.
At the ZACC, we believe something truly special happens when students of different ages create together. In our experience, kids often thrive in mixed-age settings—where younger students look up to older peers, and older kids step into natural mentorship roles. With small class sizes and dedicated ZACC instructors, each class is tailored to the unique group of students enrolled. Whether your child is just starting out or already a creative teen or tween, we’re committed to providing a safe, inspiring environment for all students to grow and explore their creativity.
