All proceeds will help Jessica Kussman and her family with overwhelming medical bills.
Jessica is a devoted nurse, wife, and mother of three who has faced life-changing health challenges from epilepsy. Her first grand mal seizure struck in 2018, and despite treatment her seizures became more frequent and severe, eventually forcing her to leave the nursing job she loved.
In late 2023, Jessica suffered a critical seizure episode that required a medically induced coma and weeks of hospitalization. Because of a change in her employer’s insurance, she was denied disability benefits, leaving her family without crucial income.
In 2024, Jessica endured three brain surgeries to implant a responsive neurostimulation (RNS) device that helps reduce seizures. Her condition has improved—from multiple seizures each week to about five a month—but she is still unable to return to work and faces ongoing medical expenses and treatment.
Jessica remains hopeful that continued care will one day allow her to return to nursing and the patients she loves. Your support at this event will make a meaningful difference for Jessica and her family.
