About this Event
Jess Best is a singer-songwriter who weaves together sound and emotion to create worlds of her own. Currently based out of Los Angeles, she is constantly creating and releasing new music, in addition to penning songs for other artists. In this performance, Jess will be playing a mix of songs from her recent release, 'Clear,' and songs from previous projects. She will be joined by her producer/collaborator Connor Schultze.
Sally Mango is a 6 piece Indie Soul band based out of San Francisco. With inspirations such as Hiatus Kaiyote, Dirty Projectors, Os Mutantes and MoonChild, their sound is smooth yet percussive combining driving rhythm sections with funk/soul vocal and horn lines. It’s rumored that Barack Obama has described them as “Ideal with Sunday morning pancakes”.
Lizzy Dutton -
Lizzy lives in Oakland, California, where she spends most of her time teaching 8th grade math at Roosevelt Middle School.
When the homework is turned in and night-time falls, Lizzy writes music.
Her EP, Amnesia, swells with violin, guitar, pedal steel, and piano arrangements that together create an autobiographical landscape of love, loss, and existential dread. In just six songs, you can hear Lizzy’s range of musical influences from her classical violin training as a child in New York State to the rich Folk and Americana traditions Lizzy witnessed as a teenager in Austin, Texas and bulk of her early twenties in Nashville, Tennessee.
