Our next concert is on 16th November which is a Saturday. Folk at the Barlow are delighted to welcome Jess & Richard Arrowsmith who have visited previously in 2017 but also more recently in 2019 as half of the excellent Melrose Quartet. As a fiddle / melodeon duo Jess & Richard bring you powerful vocals, subtle accompaniments, lively tunes and a broad range of predominantly traditional English material that will have you laughing, weeping, tapping your feet and joining in the choruses.Supporting the Arrowsmiths and fresh from our recent Folk Festival, come popular duo LocTup Together. Chris Lock and Ian Tupling sing a varied and inspiring repertoire that includes maritime songs and shanties. Two wonderfully powerful voices in close harmony. Their well crafted harmonies and Ian’s skilful guitar playing make them a joy to listen to.
The Concert starts at 8pm. Doors open at 7:30 and the Reading Room bar will be open throughout the evening from 7pm. Tea and Coffee are available in the kitchen for a small donation. Tickets are £12.50 and can be booked in advance through our website [email protected] which allows payment by Bank Transfer, Paypal or Debit / Credit card. Students will be charged £6 and accompanied under 16's can come in for free
