YOUR ENTERTAINMENT

The Deadbeats with Special Guests: 30th Anniversary Celebration!
It was 30 years ago that The Deadbeats debuted at a Nevada City pub called Mad Dogs & Englishmen. After Jerry's passing, the band created Jerry Bash, and for the last 28 years we have all celebrated the life and the music of Jerry Garcia along with The Deadbeats. Join us for a very special evening which will include a few surprises to commemorate three decades of making music!

Wolf Jett: Cosmic Mountain Music
Back by popular demand! Wolf Jett returns to Jerry Bash in 2024, bringing their eclectic blend of folk, blues and Americana that they describe as "cosmic mountain music." Get ready for it — Wolf Jett will make you dance, sing and possibly even hooOoooowl!

Caltucky: Remembering Old & in the Way and Garcia/Grisman
In 1973 Jerry Garcia, David Grisman, Peter Rowan, Vassar Clemmons and John Kahn formed the short-lived but hugely influential bluegrass band Old & in the Way. The relationship spawned an album that has continued to be a bluegrass favorite through every decade with songs like "Midnight Moonlight," "Pig in a Pen" and "Wild Horses." It remained the best selling bluegrass album of all time until it was finally dethroned by Oh Brother Where Art Thou?

Kelly Flemming, Kellie Gamire & Friends: The Roots of the Grateful Dead
In their 30 year career, the Grateful Dead took inspiration from a stunning variety of American musical traditions from blues to country to folk to rock and transforming songs from artists ranging from Merle Haggard to Chuck Berry and from Cannon's Jug Stompers to Bob Dylan. Come early, and relive many of your favorite songs you might of thought they wrote! "Jack-A-Roe," "Cold Rain & Snow," "El Paso," "Going Down the Road" and so many more beloved classics.

FAQs

ADA Parking & Mobility
Since the event is hosted in the park, you're likely to find the ground uneven with some divets in the grass. We do our best to assist those with mobility impairments, when possible. We also have a limited number of ADA parking spaces available. If you need assistance, please contact us at least one week in advance at [email protected].
Pets

Yes, your animal is allowed. That said, Jerry Bash is a joyful, boisterous festival and may not be suitable for all pets. August in Nevada County can be HOT, so please do not leave pets in vehicles. If your pet is anxious around crowds, loud noise, or other pets, we suggest making other arrangements for them so you can enjoy the festival. We reserve the right to ask you to remove your animal if it is disruptive or unsafe for our patrons.

Comfort

Pioneer Park can be warm or downright hot in the summer sun, so sunscreen is a good call. It’s super important to stay hydrated throughout the day! You're welcome to bring water with you, and it will also be available for purchase at the bar.

Also, Jerry Bash may be loud like any good concert should be, so don't forget your ear protection if you're sensitive to high volumes. Complimentary ear plugs will also be available at the bar and gate.

Lodging

Nevada City has many boutique hotels, bed and breakfasts, and vacation rental homes. For glamping within walking distance to Pioneer Park, we suggest the Inn Town Campground or the Outside Inn.

Neighbors

Pioneer Park is located in the heart of a residential area. We ask that you please be courteous to our wonderful neighbors when entering or exiting the festival.

Fire Prevention

Please protect Nevada County by using extreme caution when smoking in our community. Dispose of cigarettes in proper receptacles, not on the ground in Pioneer Park or the neighborhood surrounding the park. For more fire safety information, Please visit Ready Nevada County.
