About this Event
Join us for an exclusive late night event at Oxford's Museum of Natural History. This is a comedy night at the museum. This is our 5th show at the natural history museum where previous shows have focussed on wildlife, climate change, bacteria, and evolution this show will be entirely focussed on insects, arachnids, and creepy crawlies!
There are 2 show times in the evening an early show (7-8pm) and a late show (8.30-9.30)
Imagine jokes about June bugs, material about mayflies, banter about beetles, riffs on roaches. Join us as we curate our finest award winning line-up of comedians and experts to write custom sets on the wonderful world of bugs! Whilst the museum curates a wonderful selection of specimens for handling sessions. This is a completely unique evening guaranteed to be the bees knees. You may even get to touch some! An amazing opportunity to spend time after hours in one of the oldest museums in the world, with a bar, expert scientists and superb comedians. You'd have to be a really busy bee not to come along!
The hour long stand-up show will also be paired with object handling and activities with scientists and researchers from the museum. So not only will you hear jokes about insects but you'll have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the museum's creepy crawly collection! This show is a part of the museum's insect outreach programme. Join us to see this amazing creepy crawly collection, the Hope for the Future collection funded by the Heritage Lottery Foundation.
