Mum of two, Jenny Gill was with diagnosed with Signet Cell Cancer in March 2024, which is also known as signet ring cell carcinoma (SRCC). It's a rare, aggressive cancer that can develop in many organs. She was given less than a year to live.
In true Jenny style, she was determined to fight and make the most of her time with us all. So, a year after her diagnosis, with the help of chemotherapy, the love of friends and family and the need of what she calls 'the fire in her belly', Jenny set off on a particular mission. To raise awareness of this awful cancer, that often goes undiagnosed and undetected. To support the organisations working tirelessly with people who are diagnosed. And to inject this work with hope, joy and fun.
Jenny gracefully and peacefully died in April 2025, part way through planning for her Auction. Help us make her wishes come true as we set out to raise vital funds and celebrate the amazing woman that Jenny was.
Funds raised on the night will be split between St Julia's Hospice and The Treliske Research Team. The funding at Treliske will be specific for reasearch on stomach cancer.
