DANCE IT OUT!Sunday, October 19, 2025
2:00 PM 5:00 PM
More often than not, if a character is invited to dance as part of a scene, it will be done deliberately 'badly' or 'comedically', but in scenes and songs we commit honestly and just let the comedy find itself. So why not with dance? This fun and physical class will teach some basic dance principles and invite you to honestly commit to trying to dance well - then see what happens! No dance skills or experience required.

About the Teacher:
Jennifer is an improviser, teacher, songwriter, actor, and sign language interpreter with a passion for puppets. After training in acting for 3 years and working as a touring actor for 8, she then discovered improv and never looked back. Jennifer currently plays the international festival circuit with Somewhat Theatre - (improvised absurdist theatre), The Allegory of the Cave (improvised shadow theatre), and Jennifer & Emily (duo with Emily Murphy). As well as being obsessed with Shakespeare (check out her webseries Sonnet Sisters), Jennifer utterly loves puppets and In 2018 she directed 'Boxed In', an improvised puppetry show full of cardboard, in collaboration with Chris Mead. Basically, Jennifer just loves all the things and wants to bring every facet of her own obsessions into improv.
