Jello
Underground is the only female-produced underground jello wrestling
showcase on the globe. Originally launched in 2009 the show quickly became an
underground sensation within Seattle nightlife culture. Produced by women with
an LGBTQ-friendly atmosphere, the diverse presentation featuring powerful women
of all ethnicities and body types, attracted equally diverse crowds of both men
and women. Quickly propelling the theater sport into a category all-its-own,
attracting media attention nationwide, and garnering an extremely dedicated fan
base.

Jello
Underground [http://www.facebook.com/jellounderground] has been covered internationally with local coverage by
KIRO News, KOMO News, 107.7 The End, The Stranger, Seattle Weekly [https://www.seattleweekly.com/arts/jello-underground-is-a-female-led-production-based-in-seattle-for-three-years/], Seattle Magazine, Seattle PI,
Women’s Health, NPR [https://www.knkx.org/other-news/2019-12-14/jello-underground-part-performance-part-competition-part-declaration-of-female-power], SIFF, Amazon Prime Video [https://www.amazon.com/Jello-Underground-Nozomi-Momo/dp/B077NLZDL3] and radio stations coast to
coast. The self-titled hit documentary has also been trending on Amazon
throughout the pandemic, maintaining high fan engagement and building anticipation
for the return of shows on May 28, 2022 at El Corazon in South Lake Union. It’s
going to be a spectacle.

Jello
Underground is a loud and exciting spectacle, bringing together fans
from the local arts, theater, comedy, and sports communities. Throwing out the
stale misogynistic perception of what jello wrestling is, in favor of welcoming
a brash female-empowering (and hugely entertaining) competition. There is truly
nothing else like this. With an amazing cast of female performers vying for the
championship belt, this will be an event that Seattle-residents talk about for
years to come.
