Jeffrey Chodil Plays Rhapsody in Blue
Welcome Classical pianist Jeffrey Chodil as he makes his Los Angeles premiere! This solo piano recital features Gershwin's iconic Rhapsody in Blue, which is celebrating the centenary of its 1924 premiere. This in-person event will be held at the Westside Music Conservatory. In addition to Rhapsody in Blue, this exciting program features music by Scarlatti, Bach/Busoni, Beethoven, Albeniz, Granados, and selections from Earl Wild's Virtuoso Etudes after Gershwin.
Jeffrey Chodil previously performed Rhapsody in Blue with orchestra in Florida, where he earned his Master of Music degree and worked 15 years as performer, teacher, chamber musician, accompanist, and composer/arranger. From 2021-2023, Jeffrey organized more than 20 concerts in Florida, including a series of benefit concerts in support of Ukraine and Hurricane Ian recovery. Now, in 2024, Jeffrey is thrilled to share his love of music with LA!
