It's another one of my First Saturdays at Common Grounds shows, and I'm delighted to have my friend Jeff Wall with me. He's pretty damn good, but don't take my word for it. Many of the songs have a quirky, lighthearted touch reminiscent of John Prine and Loudon Wainwright III. Baker writes about North Carolina’s most notorious arsenic poisoner in one (“All About Blanche”) and the joys of autumnal romance in another (“What Does Love Look Like Now”). He ties it all together with his lovely fingerstyle picking on acoustic guitar."
