Jeff Rupert, a Yamaha performing artist and Director of Jazz Studies at the University of Central Florida, has performed on over 100 albums and collaborated with legends like Benny Carter, Mel Tormé, and Diane Schuur. His quartet features pianist Richard Drexler, bassist Doug Mathews, and drummer Marty Morell—each a seasoned jazz artist in their own rightYouTube. The group is known for its sophisticated arrangements, lyrical improvisation, and deep-rooted swing. Rupert’s compositions, such as those on The Ripple and It Gets Better, showcase his mastery of classic jazz traditions while embracing modern sensibilities. The quartet performs globally, appearing at prestigious venues like Carnegie Hall and jazz festivals worldwide and the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts.
