Welcome to the Jeff 'Jasper' Hughes Annual Veterans Tournament hosted by Newport Corinthians! Join us on Saturday, May 25th, 2024, at Coronation Park for a day filled with football, family fun, and fond memories.
In honour of our beloved Jeff 'Jasper' Hughes, who dedicated decades to our club, we're hosting our annual seven-a-side veterans tournament. Jeff was not just a legend at our club but a cornerstone of our community, remembered for his passion, dedication, and infectious love for the game.
Eight teams will compete in spirited matches starting at 10am, showcasing all of their old tricks and skills as well as that competitive edge. While admission is free, we kindly ask for donations benefiting the British Heart Foundation in honour of Jeff.
But it's not just about football! Bring the whole family for a day of entertainment with a bouncy castle, face painting, and delicious food. And don't forget to visit the clubhouse bar for refreshments.
