About Rabbi Dr. Julia Watts Belser:
Julia Watts Belser is Professor of Jewish Studies at Georgetown University and core faculty in its Disability Studies program. A rabbi and activist for disability, LGBTQ, and gender justice, her research explores Jewish texts through disability studies, feminist and queer theory, and environmental justice. She is the author of Rabbinic Tales of Destruction and Loving Our Own Bones: Disability Wisdom, which won a National Jewish Book Award. Julia directs Disability and Climate Change and loves hiking and gardening.
