Jacobs Creek Watershed Association (JCWA) is proud to announce that we are partnering with the PA Fish and Boat Commission and will be hosting a Mentored Youth Trout Day event again on March 29, 2025.The goal of this event is to provide youth (children 16 and under) with a eventful fishing experience, often for the first time, thus creating a lifelong appreciation for nature and the art of angling.
This year promises to be just as memorable as we aim to provide an unforgettable experience for both the youth and adults in attendance. There will be door prizes and cookies for the children, and refreshments and pizza for everyone at no cost to our participants.
***** In Accordance with PA Fish & Boat Regulation *****
All children must have a Mentored Youth Permit (free and available anywhere PA fishing licenses are sold) OR a Voluntary Youth Fishing License. Children can possess/harvest up to 2 trout (mixed species, over 7in) for the day!
Children must also be accompanied by a mentoring adult with a valid 2025 PA fishing license WITH a Trout/Salmon Stamp. Mentors may fish alongside their youth, but MAY NOT possess/harvest trout.
