Acclaimed vocalist, songwriter, and “musical treasure hunter” Jazzy Ash leads her band, the Leaping Lizards, on a joyous exploration of New Orleans jazz. Ash’s latest children’s album, Good Foot, pays homage to Black American music from the 1950s and ’60s, from Motown and doo-wop to rock ‘n’ roll and early funk. Weaving these timeless influences with her vibrant energy, Ash and the Leaping Lizards bring good old-fashioned fun to their celebration of musical history. We believe that the arts enrich lives and shape stronger communities. If you are able, we invite you to contribute to Strathmore’s community and artistic programs through “pay what you can” pricing for Live From the Lawn concerts.
