Current students and graduates from the Elder Conservatorium of Music are invited to attend an exclusive Open Masterclass with returning international jazz sensation and multiple Grammy Award nominee, Jazzmeia Horn.This is an exceptional opportunity to witness Jazzmeia as she instructs select emerging jazz musicians in a very special masterclass designed specifically for current music students and graduates from the Elder Conservatorium of Music at the University of Adelaide.
Jazzmeia will work with three student ensembles and vocalists, as they play one or two pieces together. She will then workshop and critique the performance, before providing feedback to the musicians and attendees.
A discussion facilitated by the Head of Jazz at Elder Conservatorium of Music, Mark Ferguson and Dr Lyndon Gray will focus on bandleading, workshopping original material, communicating arrangements and stage craft tools.

This is your chance to expand your experience of jazz, not usually open to the public.
Please note that this exclusive Jazzmeia Horn Open Masterclass is free to current Elder Conservatorium students and graduates (within five years of graduation), and high school student groups interested in a career in music. Proof of eligibility will be required when you register your tickets.
Members of the public are welcome to attend. General Admission tickets are $10 +booking fee.
