We have waited so long for this!
Finally we can party with you again (almost) like before. So we decided to move the Shkoon concert inside the KNUST and celebrate a big club night with you, without distance, without mask and finally dancing again.
That's why we will be able to hold the event only in 2G (vaccinated or recovered). Because of this, the entrance will be postponed to 8pm and we will present you the further program in the next days.
Please understand, but we finally want to celebrate the return of club culture with you! Those who don't want to or can't, may of course return their ticket where it was bought.

The German Syrian band Shkoon released their long-awaited debut album “Rima” in December 2019, followed by a huge album tour. Their music is a message for cultural diversity. But the band is more than a German Syrian live act with arabic lyrics. In addition to their own lyrics, the band is using old traditional music elements of the Arab community, such as Syrian folklore, which today is more relevant than ever. In their sets, oriental melodies partner up with occidental electronic.
Shkoon creates an atmosphere filled with texture and spice and takes their listener to new spheres. The album is situated between influences of electronic downbeat, deep house, dub and hip-hop. Piano, violin, synthesizers, percussions and vocals merge with oriental melodies and western electronic beats. The listener will be taking on a journey that blurs the boundaries of cultures.
Sometimes it ́s deep, sometimes it ́s light. It can make you dream and it can make you weep. One thing is for sure: it will move you in countless ways, if you only let it. Ameen and Thorben met in the hanseatic city of Hamburg in 2015, after Ameen left his home country Syria due to the war. During a spontaneous jam session, an unexpected energy occurred and thus to that, the project Shkoon was born. The band’s very first EP followed a few months later. On the first performances of Shkoon, a spark quickly jumped over to the audience, which soon allowed the group to play major festival stages all over Europe and later internationally.
