The sounds and styles of vocalist/composer Jocelyn Medina cross cultures, creeds and continents. A veteran of the New York jazz scene, she is fast becoming a strong, new element of the Denver/Boulder music community.Fresh from recording in Brazil, Jocelyn brings her Brazilian Jazz Quintet to The Full Cycle Cafe with Boulder-area masters Bill Kopper on guitar, Bill McCrossen on bass, Raoul Rossiter on drums and percussion and Greg Laliberte on flute. Listeners can anticipate an eclectic mix of Brazilian choro, samba, bossa nova, Brazilian-inspired originals and Latin takes on standards.
