The Sheridan College Jazz Ensemble, directed by Dr. Eric Richards, presents JAZZ @ SC – The Spring ’25 Edition! This free program of concert jazz will feature a wide range of classic, Dixieland, and contemporary jazz, to include: Back Online, a swinging shuffle by Greg Yasinitsky, Sofrito – an energetic Latin tune, and a contemporary funk setting of the folk tune Frankie & Johnny, arranged by our own Doc Richards.
The evening will feature a musical journey to New Orleans featuring our own Dixieland band, the Kinnison Hall Stompers. SC Music’s instructor of voice Amanda Allyn will bring her elegant sound to the classic ballad My Funny Valentine and the swing tune I’ve Got You Under My Skin.
We’re looking forward to a great night of America’s “Classical Music” - Jazz!
