Grand winner of the 2020-2021 Radio-Canada Jazz Revelation title, Carl Mayotte is one of the most fashionable young bassists and jazzmen in Quebec and Canada. Mayotte’s third album, Escale, earned him a Félix award for best jazz album of the year for Quebec in 2022. Mayotte’s latest recording, Carnaval, was released in October 2023 to critical acclaim.
