Amazing xylophonist returns to Jazz Lovers. Vivacity is a high-energy and versatile group featuring stellar musicians and the original dance band instrument - the xylophone! Vivacity boasts an extensive song list of original arrangements of music from the 1920s to the Great American Songbook and beyond. Vivacity has performed as the headline act for Festival I Love Jazz in Brazil in 2019 and 2022, the New Orleans Jazz Museum and is often the featured entertainment for swing dances across the country.Accompanying Heather will be Dave Mackenzie on sax, Greg Zabel on bass, Bob Thornton on piano and Ed Metz on drums.
This Jazz Lovers’ Club event is for residents of The Villages and guests with a visitor pass. Doors open at 5:30pm. We have seating with tables and chairs, and you may bring your own beverage and snacks. Admission is $15 for members or $20 for non-members. Annual club membership is only $10.
