Chris Bickley’s (www.chrisbickleyjazz.com) passion for music the arts and education goes far beyond his love of performing. He graduated from the acclaimed Interlochen Center for the Arts in Michigan and as a performer has captivated audiences with his energy and mastery of his saxophones while delivering his insight emotion interpretation and creative perspective in his own style. He has had the privilege of performing with many of the best artists in the industry: jazz artists Bob James Woody Herman Mel Torme Herbie Hancock Jon Faddis John McLaughlin Tommy Dorsey Brother Jack McDuff pop artists Kenny Rogers The Temptations The Four Tops Aretha Franklin Linda Ronstadt The Allman Brothers Gladys Knight and shows including Bob Hope Nelson Riddle Johnny Mathis Rich Little Bob Newhart Regis Philbin Dick Clark Wayne Newton Jim Nabors and Robert Goulet. As an educator Chris served as Director of Jazz at Central Michigan University and Northwestern Michigan College and since relocating to Kitsap County founded in 2008 and is chairman of the Bay Area Music Foundation with the goal to “Change Children’s Lives Through Music.” In addition he hosts and performs at the popular Monday night jazz series at Brother Don’s in Bremerton. Joining Chris at his Marine View appearance will be Kacey Evans on piano Osama Afifi on bass Ronnie Bishop on drums and Frank Seeberger on guitar.
