Guest Jazz Musician for October: Chris Bowden – a highly acclaimed UK saxophonist, composer, and arranger whose career spans over three decades. Known for his distinctive tone and genre-defying creativity, Chris has established himself as a leading figure in British jazz, blending traditional improvisation with contemporary influences from funk, soul, and electronic music. Over the years, he has collaborated with an impressive list of artists, including 4hero, The Herbaliser, Paloma Faith, and Keane, contributing his signature sound to both live performances and recordings. His landmark album Time Capsule has been celebrated as a pioneering work in modern British jazz, praised for its ambitious scope and innovative fusion of styles. With an energetic presence and a deep love for live performance, Chris continues to inspire audiences with both his solo projects and collaborations.
After the main act, jammers are welcome and the stage opens up for an open mic jam session. No judgement here – just pure, unfiltered vibes.
