The 12th season of “Jazz in the Park” takes place this September at the River Market Pavilions located at 400 President Clinton Ave. in the River Market District.The free event is held from 6–8 p.m. each Wednesday in September and is a program hosted by the Little Rock Convention & Visitors Bureau (LRCVB). Additionally, the bureau continues to partner with Art Porter Music Education, Inc. (APME), which provides scholarships for Arkansas music students.
This September's schedule includes performances by:
September 3 – Genine LaTrice Perez & The Dizzy 7 Band
September 10 – Blu Jams and Co.
September 17 – Tonya Leeks
September 24 – Rodney Block Collective
The family-friendly series features a different band each week in the open-air pavilions near the Arkansas River, and this year’s finale will be from the Rodney Block Collective rounding out the season. Beer, wine, and soft drinks are available for purchase, with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the APME scholarship fund. Lawn chairs are welcome, but seating will also be provided. Coolers and outside beverages are not allowed.
