The Hammond Organ is an instrument of great versatility, often used in jazz to bring a soulful groovy sound. Just think of Shirley Scott or Jimmy Smith. Ookie Offendi will be bringing this sound to Jazz Fremantle Ookie Swings hard, has great improvisational ideas, and is an exciting player. He is highly regarded amongst the best players in town and is one of the nicest guys in the business. Joining him will be the twin saxophone of Damian Drac Denyer and Lachie Glover. Saxophonist Lachlan Glover has been astonishing audiences from an early age with his prodigious talents. Granted exceptional entry to the James Morrison Academy aged just 16, he is a four-time James Morrison Scholarship Finalist at Generations in Jazz, and holds the record for the youngest ever. Damian ‘Drac’ Denyer is a renowned baritone sax player bringing a wealth of experience from performing over 300 gigs a year. His extensive touring and dedication to his craft promise an exciting and dynamic performance. He has performed with Danny Moss Snr, Mark Taylor, Rufus Reid, James Morrison, Mark Fitzgibbon, Clark Tracy, Leon Greening and of course Danny Moss Jnr to name a few.
James Marelich is a young up and coming drummer known for his versatility in a variety of styles. James has been popping up in various acts throughout Perth of late. He swings hard!
