Shadow Quartet first visited us for Jazz Fest right back in 2018, and have wowed the Zapato crowd here pretty much every year since!
Shadow Quartet are steeped in the origins of 1960’s and 70’s spiritual jazz, cutting the organic form of the formidable Chico Hamilton Quartet and surfing on the space rails of Sun Ra with a pulse locked in by hypnotic grooves. Cries of anguish and joy assimilate communication through sound and music as the quartet take you on a transcendental journey of freedom… hopefully to inner peace and tranquility!

Our Jazz Festival Tent events are pay-as-you-feel to help cover some of the costs of the artists, sound engineers and set up, but with absolutely no pressure. We are an inclusive venue and we want everyone to have a great time!
