A renowned musician, composer, conductor, and arranger, trombonist Wycliffe Gordon joins the Davidson College Jazz Ensemble in performance. Wycliffe Gordon is a veteran member of the Wynton Marsalis Septet from 1989-1995, an original member of the Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra from 1995-2000 and has spent recent years as an in-demand performer, educator, and clinician. Gordon has received Downbeat Magazine's “Best Trombone” award six times and the Jazz Journalists Association “Trombonist of the Year” award 15 times.For tickets, please contact the Union Box Office at 704-894-2135.
