Welcome to Jazz at Motion Arts Center! Join us for an all levels class that will teach you the foundations of jazz dance and apply it to playful, upbeat choreography each week. Jazz technique is incredibly versatile and can be blended with a wide variety of dance forms. ✅ What to expect: We will guide you through a warm up of light cardio and dynamic stretching, then practice key elements of jazz dance including body isolations, syncopated footwork, pivots, turns, and kicks. In the second half of class, you will put your new skills to the test, dancing lively choreography to dynamic pop, rock, or theatrical music.
Featuring on the Broadway stage, the Hollywood big screen, and in your favorite music videos, jazz dance’s classic style has supported its widespread use in communicating story and emotion.
