About this Event
For the third entry in the Jazz Club Night @ Royal James series, we're thrilled to welcome the Jake Beamer Trio, comprised of Jake Beamer on piano, Dillon Goodson on upright bass, and Jon Hill on the drums. Immerse yourself in the spirit of the season as the trio plays your favorite holiday tunes inspired by the likes of Vince Guaraldi, Bobby Timmons, Ramsey Lewis, and Duke Ellington. Royal James will be providing bar service to attendees, and Christmas cookies will be provided.
Jake Beamer is a rare Southport local, growing up in the community and returning after receiving a degree in mathematics from UNC Charlotte. While in Charlotte, Jake was exposed to jazz for the first time and fell in love. Since his return to Southport, Jake has been working to bring more jazz to the area, both as an individual musician and as a board member with Up Your Arts.
