Swing into Christmas with the Alan Barnes Quartet at Southern Maltings!Get ready to wrap up 2024 in true jazz style! Southern Maltings is thrilled to welcome the renowned Alan Barnes Quartet for a special Christmas Jazz celebration. Join us for an unforgettable evening filled with smooth saxophone sounds, rhythmic piano lines, deep bass grooves, and captivating beats. Led by the iconic Alan Barnes on saxophone, this quartet also features Paul Edis on piano, Jeremy Brown on bass, and Matt Fishwick on drums. To make the evening even merrier, two special local guest performers will be joining them for a festive musical treat.
With a later-than-usual start time, this event is the perfect way to transition from a cozy Sunday afternoon into a sparkling night. Doors open at 4:30pm, and the music starts at 5pm. Families are welcome—children attend free, so bring everyone along to share in the joy of jazz!

The event is being held on the first floor of the Southern Maltings building. Please check with the event organisers if using stairs is problematic. Southern Maltings is the trading name of Ware Arts Centre Limited and is a registered charity (Registered charity no. 276998). All events are run by volunteers and proceeds go towards developing the Southern Maltings into an amazing creative arts centre which will enable us to put on a wider and more frequent range of events and activities for the whole community.
