The group of young revolutionaries is looking for an opportunity to throw a bomb at the British India governor. The party's central character Vimi goes to the governor's bungalow to throw a bomb but in the buggy the children come back without throwing a bomb watch. On this the second member of the team is angry with Sukhen. Other members agree with Vimi's idea that it is not right for innocent children to target a bomb.
Next time Vimi bombs the governor and shouts loud Inquilab Zindabad. To avenge the assassin of the British Indian Governor the British government orders arrest of Vimi. The play explores the moral issues associated with murder and terrorism. Suresh Bharadwaj and Deepa Sahi have given it an Indian taste transformed it according to the Indian struggle for independence.
Jayaz Hatyare is adapted from a French play titled ‘Les Justes’ more literal translations would be The Just or The Righteous. The play was first published in the year 1949 play written by French writer and philosopher Albert Camus later on it had been translated into English The Just Assassins and then in Hindi by Suresh Bhardwaj and Deepa Sahi.
