Join us for an exciting music series featuring home-grown, world-renown artists who currently perform at venues on Livernois, such as Baker's Keyboard Lounge and The Office! From June through August, enjoy monthly after-work concerts in the Clara Stanton Jones Friends Auditorium. All concerts are free and open to the public with complimentary refreshments.
Ralphe Armstrong
Detroit bassist Ralphe Armstrong was born into a musical family. His father was legendary musician and visual artist Howard “Louie Bluie” Armstrong. Ralphe has toured and recorded with the likes of the Mahavishnu Orchestra, Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, Herbie Hancock, and Jean-Luc Ponty. His album “Detroit Rising,” was released in 2015 and encompasses jazz, rock, fusion and the blues all rolled into one wonderful listening experience. The Ralphe Armstrong Trio currently performs at the historic Baker’s Keyboard Lounge every Friday, starting at 8 p.m.
