About this Event
Grammy winner, Jason Vieaux, will open the 2024-25 season of Music for Mission, performing works by J. S. Bach, Agustin Barrios, Jorge Morel, and Pat Metheny. Described by NPR as "perhaps the most precise and soulful classical guitarist of his generation," The New York Times hailed him as "virtuosic, flamboyant, dashing, and, sometimes ineffably lyrical."
Presented in partnership with Chamber Music Society of Central Kentucky, this free concert will benefit The Nest, a local agency that offers early childhood education and care, family assistance for basic human needs, counseling and advocacy for survivors of intimate partner violence, and education and support for parents. thenestlexington.org.
