My Gehenna is a collection of sixty spooky stories written by Southwestern Ontario author Jason Rip, whose surname inclined him to be interested in the macabre. The stories range from artificial Hells to Bigfoot hunters to despots who collect Happy Meal toys. My Gehenna is a ghastly grab-bag of horrors reflecting the phobias and fascinations of its very strange author.
Jason Rip is an award-winning playwright with exactly 100 full-length scripts to date. His work has been performed in Toronto, Montreal, Kingston, and the United States. His specialty is historical biography. A documentary about Jason, titled JASON RIP: A TOMBSTONE EPITAPH, has toured internationally. He has written plays about Arthur Rimbaud, Edgar Allan Poe, Jack The Ripper, Wilhelm Reich, Roscoe Arbuckle, etc. Recent work includes plays about The Little Rascal Curse and a vindication of The Sheriff of Nottingham. He was the 2018 recipient of the Chris Doty Award for lifetime achievement in theatre and a 2023 recipient of the London, Ontario Mayor's Honour List for Distinguished Londoner. He has over thirty years of experience as an actor and director.
