On April 26th, 2024 Jason Keiser released his 7th album, a new solo guitar Bluegrass/ SpaceGrass record entitled “Grassology” on Adhyâropa Records.

Dan Miller, publisher of Flatpicking Guitar Magazine & editor of Bluegrass Unlimited, states “In addition to his original jazz-influenced tunes—'Grassology' and 'Val’s for Dawg,'— Jason has filled this recording with traditional bluegrass tunes (“Gold Rush,” “Bill Cheatham,” and “Prayer Bells From Heaven”), songs from the American songbook, [and] performs every tune on this album in his own innovative style.”
Tonight’s concert at The Back Room features Keiser in his element, performing solo selections from “Grassology." The concert features special guest, professional cellist and NAC band member, Nathaniel Grohmann. This unique duo will perform special selections from “Grassology” and repertoire made famous by The New Acoustic Collective, a genre bending string band that has been a regular act at The Back Room.
Special Guest Nathaniel Grohmann:
Nathaniel is a cellist and bassist with a devoted commitment to music interpretation and performance of chamber music. Nathaniel has excellent communication and coaching skills, as well as extensive experience in multiple genres of music. Primarily a classical cellist, Nathaniel has also performed music in Bluegrass, Latin, Jazz, and world music styles.
Signed “Grassology” CD’s are available for purchase during intermission and at the end of the concert!
Tickets are $18 in advance and $20 at the door. Children under 12 are free. Advance tickets are available here, or if the show is not sold out, you may purchase your tickets at the door before the show.
Doors open one half hour before show time. We accept cash or Venmo only at the door.
