Los Angeles native Jason Falkner writes intelligent power pop with impeccable arrangements, a clue to both his classically trained childhood and the time he spent as a member of Jellyfish, The Three O’clock and The Greys.
His skills are so in demand that even Paul McCartney asked him to play on his record and he’s appeared and produced on a magnitude of albums by artists as varied as Susanna Hoffs, Chris Cornell, Brendan Benson, Beck, Daniel Johnston and Noel Gallagher.
In Australia as part of St. Vincent’s touring band, Jason will play his only Melbourne show at the Catfish in Fitzroy on his ‘night off’. This will be his first show anywhere since he lit up a room full of smiling faces at the Spotted Mallard in 2018.

The Wellingtons may have slowed down their touring and release schedule over the years but as they put the finishing touches on their 6th album
and enter the 20th year of their existence, they still feel like they’ve got songs worthy of your attention. They’re now more likely to be singing about starting families, than teen crushes and partying, but that familiar, cheerful sense of melodicism is still intact. After countless International tours, high rotation commercial radio play, record releases all over the world and opening for many of their heroes, next year the band will release the album to no doubt please their core audience that have been with them along for the ride.
