Jason Crosby is a singular force in contemporary music—a virtuosic multi-instrumentalist whose expansive range and refined musicality have taken him from classical concert halls to rock stages around the world. Beginning violin lessons at age 2 and displaying perfect pitch by age 4, Crosby went on to master piano, viola, French horn, trumpet, guitar, bass, mandolin, and more.
Over the years, he’s become one of rock and Americana’s most trusted collaborators, performing and recording with a remarkable array of artists including Jackson Browne, Carlos Santana, Dave Matthews, Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Pete Seeger, and many others. Known for his sensitivity, adaptability, and musical depth, Crosby has spent decades helping bring other artists’ visions to life. Alongside that collaborative career, Crosby has cultivated a deeply personal voice as a composer and bandleader, whether leading his genre-blurring ensemble The Crosby Collective or exploring more intimate terrain at the piano—an instrument that has long been central to his musical identity.
For this special performance, Crosby steps into the spotlight with an intimate piano set that highlights the full depth of his musical voice. Drawing on a lifetime of collaboration and stylistic exploration, he brings nuance, lyricism, and improvisational freedom to each piece, transforming familiar melodies and original material alike. Jason also has deep ties with Santa Fe having worked extensively with local producer Jono Manson over the past 15 years or so. Manson, and other surprise guests, will also be joining Crosby for some songs during this very special evening of music.
