Jason Bonham, son of Led Zeppelin's legendary drummer John Bonham, began drumming at age five. By 17, he was in Air Race, opening for Queen and AC/DC. He filled his father’s role in the 1988 Led Zeppelin reunion and later recorded with Jimmy Page.
Jason’s band Bonham released "The Disregard of Timekeeping" in 1989, with "Wait for You" earning a gold record. He continued to collaborate with Paul Rodgers, Slash, and others, earning a Grammy nomination for a Muddy Waters tribute.
He married Jan Charteris in 1990, with a jam session featuring Led Zeppelin members. Jason represented his father at Led Zeppelin’s Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction in 1995 and later released tribute albums to Led Zeppelin.
He toured with Healing Sixes, appeared in the film Rock Star, and recorded with Debbie Bonham, UFO, and Joe Bonamassa. On VH1’s SuperGroup, he formed Damnocracy with Ted Nugent and others. Recently, he has performed with Foreigner and drummed for the 2007 Led Zeppelin reunion at London's O2 arena.
