WSSM Jarsheshwar Climbing Challenge is back again on our calendar on 10th November 2024.This is an ITT, where the first participant will start at 6:00am the rest will follow after 1 min (or 30 sec) interval. The aim is to complete the climb in the least amount of time.
But wait. That’s not just it. There’s a catch.
According to our experts, the climb can be easily done by all cyclists without even breaking a sweat. And hence, all the participants in this race will have to complete the climb at least twice compulsory. All climb times will be added (only the climb times, not descending time), and whoever has the lowest total time will be the winner.
There are five categories for registrations: Men Open, Men Masters (40 years above), Hybrid and MTB, Women Open, Boys U/18, Girls U/18

Details:
Race type: ITT
Race start: Base of Jarsheshwar Mandir Climb
Reporting time: 5:15 am
Race start: 6:30am
Distance: 15.6Km (5.2km climbs *3) for Men Open, and 10.4km for the rest.
Riders will start having a time gap of 30seconds or 1min (depending on the RD’s decision)
Climb flow:
1. Men Masters
2. Men Open
3. Girls U/18
4. Boys U/18
5. MTB & Hybrid
6. Women Open
Climb 1 starts at 6:30 am sharp. Participants will need to be at the start point at 5:55am. Riders will be flagged off 30 sec (or 1 min) intervals.
Please note: Reporting time is 5:30am, and participants will have to be present at the start line at 6:25am.
Climb 2 for Men Open starts at 7:30 am sharp. The rest of the categories will have 1h 30 mins time gap, and will start in the above mention order. Participants who fail to be at the start point will be classified as DNF.
Climb 3, Only for Men Open starts at 8:30 am sharp. Participants who fail to be at the start point will be classified as DNF.
Presentations soon after the Men Open guys finish.
Drop down bars on Hybrids will not be allowed. If you have dropdown bars on your hybrid, your bike will be considered to be a road bike, irrespective of the bike tyre width, and hence, you will have to compete in the road category.
Lockout for sus on MTB's is allowed.
Cyclocross bikes and gravel bikes will be considered to be road bikes for this event.
